Where the name comes from

Anbar was an ancient city on the Euphrates River, a major stop on the Silk Road where traders from China, Persia, and the Mediterranean would exchange goods, including rare aromatics and resins. For centuries, it was a busy trading crossroads.

The name Anbaréa is a nod to that legacy. We're not claiming to be ancient. We're saying that the tradition of crafting meaningful, high-quality fragrance has been around for over a thousand years, and we intend to carry it forward honestly.

In the 9th century, the scholar Al-Kindi wrote one of the earliest known manuals on perfumery, just miles from where Anbar stood. He documented over 100 recipes for perfumes and distillations. His core principle was simple: use quality ingredients, respect the process, and the result speaks for itself. That's still the approach here.

How we make our fragrances

Every Anbaréa fragrance is an Extrait de Parfum, a rich, concentrated style of perfume. We'd rather make one thing carefully than fifty things fast.

We work in small batches. Each bottle is filled and labeled by hand. We don't run factory lines, and we don't cut corners on ingredients. If a raw material isn't right, we don't use it.
